Chester Graham - 1st Conviction (Track by Track)

It's almost that time. To release a debut of me singing in a new project. Actually this is the only music project I sing in (minus Puppies & Kittens, but Puppies & Kittens has become Chester Graham, so BOOOM). So I want to focus more on the music and maybe advertise a little more before I release the album itself. I figured I mind as well write the "history and meaning to each track". So everyone who actually reads this blog will know what to expect from the 1st Conviction. The album name has a hidden meaning, but I'm not here to spill the beans about it. I'm here to write 12 short and simple paragraphs about each track from the album. An album that will likely blow minds through the process. Let's get this show going....

"My Sexy Sexy" was recorded at the end of 2011 during the "winter break". The song was the first Chester Graham song I ever recorded. It was more by chance and I really didn't  write any lyrics for it. The song just came out of thoughts throughout my head and I decided to sing about anything sexy. Well it ended up being catchy to a point. It is the first song and single for a reason. I decided I mind as well put the first song I have ever recorded without using those easy drag and put loops on an album which would become a new music project for me.

"Vex" is just Vex. The song came about when I was in Dayton, Ohio back in January meeting the parents of my girlfriend for the first time. We ended up going out on the town that night and to some cool places. Well Vex wasn't one of those cool places. Vex reminds of all those random dance clubs I went to in Davenport, Moline, Peoria, and even Rome during college. Vex was in shape of a old dinner trailer and still had the seating for it. The song, itself, is in the point of a fellow patron of Vex that goes there every weekend. That's all I'm going to say about it.

"ALien" is an unique song  with unique random sounds in it. Let's just say its a song with a random and desperate meaning to it. We all have our needs and wants. Well this song has a big WANT in it.

"The creeper" is about all those random creepy people you ever run into. Like that random guy with a mustache and ponytail that's creeping people out at Kelleher's the other night. This song is in the point of view of the creeper.

"Baddest...." is a song about being the baddest person around. Basically being DA MAN at every place you go to.

"Cougars" is a song about middle age fine looking women and that's it.

"Lizard Golden Wonderfall" is about Lizard Lick Towing and Golden Corral. Basically I was watching Lizard Lick a few months back and I kept seeing ads about the chocolate wonderfall. So I decided that would be an interesting song to come with. Well I came up with the song and its on the album.

"Yuengling and Wrestling" is about two of the most AMERICAN things in the world. I actually recorded the song while watching Raw and drinking some Yuengling. There is more to the song though.

"Interlude" is a short fill in song. Spoken word and that's it.

"Cray" is a song I created basically singing about who is crazy. I used the word cray because I wanted to be as cool as Kanye West.

"Water Run Run" is a song I wrote in 2009. It is the oldest song on the album, but this is a new version of the song. I originally recorded a demo back in the summer of 2009 and decided to do the song once again. The song is about my first break up at the wee age of 14.

"Confession part 1" is the last song I recorded for the album. I basically ramble throughout the song about some random things, but I do thank the listener in the song.

Indefinite Hiatus of Sugar Frosted Pacific

Well I think its time to unlace the shoes and call it quits. I have released over 10 albums and even got over 10,000 downloads over the past four years as Sugar Frosted Pacific. I have accomplished more than I would ever thought I would as SFP. It still amazes me how SFP became worldwide and people from all over the world was listening to it. It's crazy how music spreads all over the web. I didn't think I would do much with SFP and wanted to call it quits after awhile. Then I decided to continue with it and release more albums. Plus I figure out where to advertise and post my music at.

Sugar Frosted Pacific didn't get well known until I started releasing albums through Legal Free Music on Tumblr.com. That's when things really picked up. I got more downloads and I felt like I could do more with SFP. So I did.  I ended up putting the albums on other sites and it started to catch on.  It's crazy how putting a link on a site would attract over a 100 hits. More like a 1,000. It gave me a reason to release more music. So I did it. I did end up making a Band Camp page, but did delete it a month later. I decided to keep it with the way I was marketing before with just simply posting the link. I still got a lot of downloads that way.

So I think it's time to call it quits, but before then I will release three more albums under the name Sugar Frosted Pacific (one is even a double LP) later this year. I figured that I mind as well leave with a bang or something. Plus, I'm starting a new project now. This one has my vocals in it. That's another blog though. Back to SFP, it was good while it lasted. I will post the discography of Sugar Frosted Pacific sometime this week.  It's crazy that Sugar Frosted Pacific lasted for four years...Just Crazy....

Puppies & Kittens to Man-Eating Penguins to Puppies & Kittens to Chester Graham

A change is a change. Sometimes you like the name and other times you don't. I have decided to change the name of my band to Chester Graham. I wanted to with more of a name then something random. Plus Puppies & Kittens was already taken. I did release the first album under the name Puppies & Kittens, but I will release it under the new name. I will probably release it in the coming weeks. The title will be different though. I will talk about that later when the album gets released...More info will be coming soon about Chester Graham...

Success of Someone Human and New Album Coming Next Month

With the surprising success of Someone Human, I have decided to release a full-length album next month. Actually, I will be releasing a new album on the 12th of June. It's called SEXY LADY IN THE WINDOW and there's 10 tracks to it. You can actually pre-order it for the big price of 50 cents (Bandcamp.com doesn't want free pre-orders for some reason). I have decided to add this album for pre-order so "fans" can get a juicy taste of the next album. You even get to listen to one of the tracks on the album and get this track if you pre-order the album. It's a change I've wanted to do for awhile. I wanted more people to get more access for Sugar Frosted Pacific's greatness instead of the artist randomly posting Mediafire links everywhere.

So if you want to get a small juicy taste of SEXY LADY IN THE WINDOW, please check out SFP's Bandcamp page (http://sugarfrostedpacific.bandcamp.com/). You even get to see what else is on the album and  the sexy album art. Here's the track listing for all you peeps that are too lazy to click on the link in the line above.

1. Christian IS A PUSSY
2. All The Crazy Women At Work
3. She Wanted It On An Unicycle
4. Lost 80kgs At Kroger On Knoxville
5. IN THE WILD

7. Big Red Acid
8. Lost In A Restroom

As said before, SEXY LADY IN THE WINDOW will come out on June 12th. It will be a pay as you want album as always (like the others on http://sugarfrostedpacific.bandcamp.com/). Also, in the coming months I will be releasing my new band's first album. The band is called Man-Eating Penguins and album WILL COME OUT IN JULY. More information will be coming on this site in the coming weeks. I'll even set up a pre-order for the debut album also on bandcamp.com. So more music for the masses...

It's officially released on the internet. I decided to leak it a day earlier for the hell of it. It's free as always  and it's just a short electronic album. It's a rar file so you need either WinRAR or WinZip to open it up.   Here's the link...

Sugar Frosted Pacific and Man-Eating Penguins Update

It's been a couple months since I've released a new album through the name Sugar Frosted Pacific. The last album I released (Closet Preachers) ended up becoming one of the best releases from SFP in a long time. It was a good feeling really. Well it's time once again to release a new album. How about a new EP. This EP is called Someone Human. Someone Human is a six track Electronic/Techno EP. I actually worked on it back in winter 2012 and have decided to release out to the public. It reminds me of a couple albums I released in 2010 (Fiddy and Yum Yum). It easily flows throughout the album and could easily be considered one track split into six sections. These six sections have names...so here is the track listing for Someone Human

1. This Isn't Country
2. Preschool Drama Class
3. Bopping Air
4. 500 For A Ride On The
5. Mummies Vs Swamp Penguins
6. Frostie KBB

Here is the album artwork also. Someone Human will hit  Sugar Frosted Pacific's Bandcamp (http://sugarfrostedpacific.bandcamp.com/) and elsewhere on the net on the 15th of May.

Now for some Man-Eating Penguin news. For those who don't know this, I have a new music project. A project in which I sing my own tunes (this is true). I started working on this project back in December 2011 just for fun. Then I decided I mind as well make a full album of it and now it finally exist. I used a different program with Man-Eating Penguins also. I'm not going to speak much about this program until a few weeks. All I got to say is that I didn't use MY LAPTOP or any program on MY LAPTOP for Man-Eating Penguins. That's what makes M-EP (short for Man-Eating Penguins) is unique. I'm not going to release any music soon from M-EP, but there will be new updates throughout the coming months. I'm almost finished working on the debut LP and also the second LP. Yes, there will be TWO full albums of me singing. I know there are a lot of people begging for my singing for awhile. Well you get to here it this summer. The debut album will hit this summer...more information coming soon.....

Closet Preacher Breaks 1,000 Downloads

To my surprise this album has broken 1,000 downloads. I wouldn't think that is possible nowadays because my main source for marketing has now closed down (legalfreemusic.tumblr.com).  I still truck on though and post the link almost everywhere hoping to get some clicks. I have been thinking about using soundcloud or bandcamp, but I might do that in my new project (new info coming later). I'm just impressed that an album I wouldn't think of releasing actually did very well.  Here's the link again for it. It's a RAR file so you will need WinRar to extract it.

New music is coming sooner than later. How about a six song EP. That's right I am releasing a six song album in the coming weeks. It's called Someone Human. More information coming soon.

Sugar Frosted Pacific - Closet Preachers

It's been awhile since Sugar Frosted Pacific has released an album. The last release felt more like a random collection of B-Sides compared to the rest of the albums. Well maybe it was, but this album is a different story. During June-October 2011, I was secretly working on a new album during my free time. At first I wanted some more country like (one of the songs is), but it became more of a concept. I wanted to experiment more with time lengths and different instruments. Closet Preaches has to be one of the longest albums I have ever created. Only 8 tracks, but there is so much in each track. I tried to make it stand out more. Make  it different from the rest.

Closet Preachers was suppose to be released September 2011, but I decided to delay it until now. I figure I should take a break from releasing albums and focusing on other things. I did end up creating a new music project (Puppies And Kittens), but that's a different story. Closet Preacher is an experiment with sound. Most of the songs have two sounds intertwine with them. No song sounds alike and that's what I wanted. An experiment.  Here's the track listing...You can figure out some of the concept by the track names...

1.Tailgating On The Spoon River (Intro)
2. To Drink To Drink To Drag
3. Learning To
4. Demon Revival
5. Turning Water Into Rumplemintz
6. ITS MY HOLY TRAILER (I OWN IT)
7. False Preachings
8. People's Temple (Jones Riot)

And the lovely album art (woohoo)

Thee album is releasing Feb 7th. Be ready...Here's a taste....
