In seven days there will a celebration of success. That success is the creation of a band. This band was created a year ago next Tuesday out of simple ideas. This band has released music into the World Wide Web. They saw both success and failure from fans around the world. This band even tries to experiment something new with every new single or EP. This band I’m talking about is Sugar Frosted Pacific.
Yes, Sugar Frosted Pacific was created by yours truly on August 18th, 2008. But I’ll talk more about the epic history of Sugar Frosted Pacific next week on the 1 year celebration. And of course about the future of Sugar Frosted Pacific. I just want to take it higher. That’s another note for next week. I just need to use this note for another press release. Also to tell people to go listen to Thrice’s new album called Beggars. It’s a great album and I recommend it to anyone. It just released today. Thrice always puts out great albums, but that’s my opinion.
Going back to SFP, next week I will be releasing another single from Sugar Frosted Pacific. It’s another stand alone single. So it will not be on the upcoming full-length I’m currently working on right now. This single was actually created last year. I figured I mind as well release it now instead of later. It’s actually a remix of Viva La Vida. It was one of the first tracks I’ve ever made with Sugar Frosted Pacific and was on the MySpace page (myspace.com/sugarfrostedpacific) for the longest time back in 2008. It had to be taken off because of legal issues. Basically copyright issues with the song. That’s why I didn’t post my first full-length on MySpace either even though it was the most downloaded album by Sugar Frosted Pacific. Gotta love copyrights.
Well going back to the single. Wait why can’t it just be an EP? Yes now it is an EP with the standout single of Viva La Vida. Well the title of the EP is Viva Un Ano. Great title in Spanish. I’m not going to say what the English translation is. So you will have to figure it out yourself. There are also six tracks to it. Five remixes and one b-side kind of track. I wasn’t the creator of the track, but I will still put it on the album. There are two remixes of Viva on it. The other remix features a guest vocalist from Ambrose. You will have to figure that one out too. I will post the track listing and album art on Facebook and everywhere else later this week. I do blog at a lot of places. It’s to market Sugar Frosted Pacific and has helped in the past. More info will come this week and next. Stay tune.
